A Wexford burglar was caught after becoming intoxicated on tablets and falling asleep in the homeowners’ bed, a court has heard.
Michael McDermott (43) was found by the two sons of the homeowners and dragged outside to the garden until Gardaí arrived.
The defendant, of Gorey has 95 previous convictions for offences including assault causing harm, burglary, robbery and drug offences.
Judge Melanie Greally jailed McDermott for three years.
