Well now. Did we ever think we’d see the day when you find something out about Friends that you actually never knew before?
BONKERS.
Consider this an early Christmas gift: there’s a random Irish reference in the iconic TV show that we’ve either a) been too dopey to realise, or b) been WAY too dopey to realise.
In the episode “The One With Rachel’s Book”, AKA the second episode of the seventh season of Friends, which aired on NBC on October 12, 2000, a very Irish symbol makes a sneaky appearance.
Reddit user mc_smelligott spotted the cameo and it’s made our day

Yep, that’s none other than a Claddagh sign on the whiteboard in Joey’s apartment.
We’ve no idea why, but considering the Claddagh symbol represents love, loyalty, and friendship, it does kinda make sense.
N’awh.
