Heavy rain and gales are predicted nationwide by Met Éireann over the next few days.
As if we needed another reason not to go outside right now…
While there have been no official weather warnings issued by Ireland’s meteorological service just yet, Met Éireann have issued an updated weather forecast for the country for the coming week, and it makes for some pretty grim reading.
Here is what to expect from your week, weather-wise:
Tuesday – Nationwide showers, turning heavier and with a risk of hail and thunderstorms in the evening, especially in the western part of the country.
Wednesday – Some heavy showers, with more risk of hail and thunderstorms. Strong winds expected in coastal areas.
Thursday – Windy and lots of rain nationwide, with a heightened risk of flooding in western coastal areas. Near gale force winds expected in the west and south coasts.
Friday – Wind and rain should ease of during the day, but expected to return in the south of the country by the evening.
Weekend – Lots of rain and strong winds expected, but further updates will be provided closer to the time.
We will update here on Lovin if Met Éireann do issue any official weather warnings during the week.
