Owner Leona Rocca, who also owns the takeaway next door along with her husband Onorio, said:

“She made her way through the coffee shop and ended up in behind the counter with my other staff working in the takeaway next door, but nobody seen her,”

“She knew exactly how to open the till but for some strange reason, left €15 behind her.”

The incident took place on Saturday January 14 at approximately 5.20pm. No arrests have been made and Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for anyone with information to contact them by phone on 059-9136620.
