A new €50 note is set to enter circulation next April and the European Central Bank (ECB) released a picture of it today.
There are 8 billion €50 notes in circulation, accounting for almost half of all cash in the Eurozone.
The note is also the most counterfeited note in circulation, so the ESB has enhanced the money’s security features in order to combat this, making minor changes like adding emerald numbers which shift in colour when tilted.
