Mondays are actually just the fucking worst.
Like I really, really, really hate them.
But Netflix softens the blow, what would we do without it? And thankfully they recently added a whole new bunch of stuff to the site – I was running low on options.
1. The Big Short
One of the best movies of 2015 was recently added to Netflix, and if you haven’t already seen it then you need to get your priorities in order.
Starring Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and hilarious cameos from Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez. It’s a seriously interesting film about the mortgage and housing collapse of the early 2000s – pure corruption.
It slightly terrifying and you’ll be on the edge of your seat, or bed, throughout.
2. ARQ
Set in the future, this freaky new Netflix original centres around an engineer who has invented a piece of tech that can deliver unlimited energy, but he and his wife are under threat by a gang who wanna get their hands on it.
Not gonna lie, I was terrified at times.
3. Aloha
This took a while to get into, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.
A big-shot military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs and re-connects with an ex bae while unexpectedly falling for the Air Force watchdog assigned to him during his stay.
Give it a go.
4. Designated Survivor
Starring the wonderful Kiefer Sutherland as an ordinary cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes president of the United States after an attack on Washington, D.C.
5. Easy
It’s like a load of short films all together in one series – and it’s fantastic.
Sexy. Funny. Addictive.
That is your week’s entertainment – sorted.
