Can you believe that Google Street view is 15 years old?
Hard to imagine, but it is true. We’ve come a long way from obsessively looking up the street we live on and wondering if we’ve been caught in the footage. Google put together the top spots people tend to go looking for in Ireland, as well as the top museums.
10 most visited places
Most of the top visited spots in Ireland on street view come from the capital. Spots like the Molly Malone statue (9th), the Aviva Stadium (7th), as well as the Guinness Storehouse (6th) and Phoenix Park (4th) all make the top 10 list. Dog’s Bay in Galway (10th) and the Billy Byrne Monument in Wicklow (2nd) also made the list.
However the top viewed spot in Ireland ultimately went to Dublin Castle.

As for the most visited museums, this list is a little more varied. Dublin museums that make the list include the Museum of Literature Ireland (9th), the EPIC (6th), Dublinia (3rd), and Kilmainham Gaol in first place.
Bunmahon Geological Park (10th), Drombeg Stone Circle (6th), Muckross House (4th), and the Titanic Experience Cobh (2nd) were all spots that made the list outside of Dublin.

Well there you have it. Much as we like to stalk our own houses on Street View, they did not make it to the top viewed list in Ireland (unless you live in Dublin Castle, in which case, fair play to you).
