Yep, scientists in Mexico have identified substances in the tequila plant that enhances the absorption of calcium in the body.
Yassssss.
According to Science Daily, “apart from being the raw material for making a very traditional drink in Mexico, the blue variety of the Agave tequilana has substances capable of improving the absorption of calcium and magnesium, essential minerals to maintain bone health”.
Hurrah!
And while doing shots of tequila might ruin your life in other ways – at least you’ll have strong bones.
