A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed the news.
Channel 4 has confirmed that a documentary about the “rollercoaster” life and death of Caroline Flack is in the pipeline. Set to explore both the public and private life of the former Love Island presenter, it’s believed that the documentary will be told through the eyes of her friends and family, featuring interviews from those closest to her as they recall their fondest memories of the star.
Described as an “emotional, intimate and candid documentary”, Channel 4 commissioning editor Becky Cadman commented that the film is “about and for Caroline”.
“A sister, daughter, friend and one of the most successful TV presenters in the country.
“She openly and honestly shared her struggles with fame and how it impacted her mental health. A rollercoaster life told through the memories of the people who knew her best, Caroline’s family and friends, we hope this will be a fitting tribute to her.”
Thanking Caroline’s loved ones for their involvement in the project, fellow Channel 4 commissioning editor Lee McMurray later added that they hope to create something that is a “testament to Caroline’s character, work and legacy”.
No release date has been confirmed for the Caroline Flack documentary as of yet.
