Ten people were rescued by the RNLI in the early hours of this morning.
They were taking part in the Fastnet race when their forty-foot Olympic racing yacht’s mast was smashed off the coast of Cork.
Courtmacsherry RNLI were called to the scene at 3.20am this morning and were able to tow the yacht and its passengers back to the harbour quickly and safely.
