If you think your belongings are safe inside your house, you need to think again.
Yesterday the Gardaí took to Twitter to highlight how easy it is for burglars to steal your keys – without even going inside your house.
This car below was stolen because the keys were left near the letter-box, providing someone easy access.

Though you may think that leaving your keys near the door will be a good reminder for you to remember them when you leave the house, is it really worth the risk?
Gardaí then warned against the common places people may leave their keys, as they too leave them vulnerable to being robbed.
Dont leave keys in open view on kitchen/hall tables, window sills, counter tops or on wall hooks etc particularly within reach of frontdoor

So next time you come home and want to throw your keys just anywhere, think again.
