Game Of Thrones bosses has confirmed that everyone’s favourite crooner Ed Sheeran will star in the upcoming series of the hit show.
Speaking at a panel discussion in Texas, co-creator David Benioff stated that the recruitment of Ed was meant to be a surprise for actor Maisie WIlliams who plays Arya Stark and is a massive fan of the singer. Benioff said:
“For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it.”
Sheeran himself took to Twitter to back up Benioff’s words with the following tweet:
