Irish Rail has warned customers of long delays on the Waterford line after a train hit a cow earlier today.
The 11 am service from Waterford was left unable to pass where the accident occurred and passengers were brought back to Thomastown station in Kilkenny so they could disembark.
Irish Rail alerted passengers of the “significant delays” on Twitter.

The company have yet to confirm if the trains are back running normally, yet.
